An example of a typical Boardingmania weekend: Go to work on Friday morning with your gear and a huge smile because you’re so excited. Bunk off work at twelve then it’s off to Liverpool St. Station, and onto the Stanstead express. 45mins later you arrive at Stanstead airport at 13:10 then onto check in which closes at 13:30. The plane leaves at 14:10 and arrives at 17:10 local time (transport and guide will be waiting for you at the airport). Then it’s straight into the mountains for an evening session on the flood light runs and/or a relaxing meal by the hotel fire (arrive at resort 18:30). Afterwards it’s off to the bar for some discount priced pints or cocktails. On Saturday it’s a maximum 8 hrs boarding/skiing followed by 6 hrs on Sunday. Tired and nursing various aches in places you never knew existed, you board the plane again at 17:25 on Sunday evening and are back in London by 18:15 tanned, toned and bursting with adrenaline soaked/booze fuelled stories that only your parents and your best friend ‘believe’.
